Laminated-Core Construction
Steve reinforces each cue with a custom-built laminated
maple core in the forearm and a solid laminated section
underneath the wrap. The cored butt construction prevents
warpage, promotes consistency of hit, and ensures optimal
weight distribution.
Joint
Steve Lomax has recently optimized his cues with a custom
quick-release 3/8"-10 Aluminum joint pin for both the shaft
and jump joints. This is an extremely lightweight, yet sturdy
joint, built to last.
Tip & Ferrule
Both the phenolic tip and phenolic ferrule are custom
fabricated by Steve. The phenolic tip maximizes break force
while killing the spin on the cue ball after the break to
ensure cue ball control.
Shaft
Hard rock maple shafts are crafted with the Steve Lomax™
custom jump break taper. Shaft dimensions are specially
optimized for both jump & break performance.
